Marcell Wilbanks Sloan, 79, died May 21, 2012 at Emeritus @ Countryside Village. Her first husband was the late David Lynn.
A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Smiley and Pearl Smith Wilbanks, she was a homemaker and a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband Paul Sloan of Greer; one son Tim Lynn and wife Daniela of Easley; one step daughter Theresa Baker and husband Alvin of Greer; two brothers Rex Wilbanks and Lecil Wilbanks both of Greer; five sisters Rownie Caldwell, Emily Southern, Bobbie Tucker, Louise Few all of Greer and Brenda Collins of Taylors and five grandchildren Zachary Lynn, Daniel Lynn, Josh Baker (Nikki), Tim Baker (Yoona) and Luke Baker; and three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by three sisters Kathryn Hill, Connie Nelson, and Francis Langley.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Mark Smith. Burial will follow in Faith Temple Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 12:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home of the husband, 3720 Jug Factory Road, Greer, S.C.
