Mary Ellen Coster Mathis, 91, formerly of Greer, widow of Jack Nathaniel Mathis, passed away October 6, 2016.

A native of Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Alma Barbare Coster, a retired employee of Homelite and member of Southside Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Angela Mathis of Greer; a daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Phil Farmer of Lyman; three granddaughters, Lindsey Mathis Riddley (Tim) of Greer, Kelly Farmer of Greer, and Jamie Farmer Ellison (Bryan) of New York; and two great-grandchildren, Mason and Morgan Riddley.

She was also predeceased by a brother, Marvin Coster.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2016 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Odell Mosley.

Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held 2:30 until 3:45 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary prior to the service.

The family is at the home of the daughter.
