Mattie Jane Hood Stroud, 87, widow of Thomas "Tom" Harrison Stroud, died October 31, 2013 at Ashlan Village.

Surviving:

A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Carl D. and Elise Raines Hood, she was a retired employee of Furman University and a member of Memorial United Methodist Church.

Funeral Services:

Surviving are two sons and daughter-in-laws, John and Huisun Stroud of Travelers Rest and Robert (Bob) and Karen Stroud of Greer; two granddaughters and their husbands, Rachel and Andy Lark, Jane Stroud and John Craps and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Stroud was predeceased by a special friend, Dr. Beecher E. Morton, Jr.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Mountain View Cemetery conducted by Rev. George Strait.

The family is at the home of the son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Karen Stroud, 107 Mount Vernon Circle, Greer, S.C. 29651.

A special appreciation to the staff of Ashlan Village and Agape Hospice.
