Mendell Lee Runion, 87, of 507 Avon Drive, died May 24, 2015 at Brookdale Inn Assisted Living.

A native of Greenville County, son of the late Belton W. and Daisy Hardin Runion, he was a self-employed mechanic, a US Navy Veteran and a member of East North Street Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Edith Burrell Runion of the home; one son, Danny Lee Runion (Sandy) of Lexington; one sister, Becky Lanford (Dickie) of Lavonia, GA; two grandchildren, Hayley Runion and Tiffany Anderson (Christopher) and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Runion was predeceased by one brother, Jackie Runion and three sisters, Louise Alford, Elizabeth Stephens and Nancy Rollins.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Dr. Julian Galloway.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held 1:00-1:45 p.m. Thursday at Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home.
