Mildred Ramsey Morgan Alewine, 85, of 4840 N. Highway 101, widow of William Ray Alewine, died June 24, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
A native of Marshall, North Carolina, daughter of the late Hilliard Pearson Ramsey, Sr. and Annie Mae Sexton Ramsey, she was a retired employee of Homelite after 32 years of service and a member of Highland Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy Morgan of Taylors; step-daughter, Dana Sanders of Taylors; a daughter-in-law, Laurie McCrary Morgan of Greer; one brother, Charles Ray Ramsey of Greer; two sisters, Elizabeth Pauline Goodlett of Greer and Lois Blackwelder of Travelers Rest; two grandchildren, Jennifer Morgan Bright-Beitler and Jessica Morgan both of Taylors; two great-grandchildren, Ava Isabella Bright and Gavin James Bright; two step-grandchildren, Angie McSpadden (Glenn) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and Nöel Mowrey of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and six step-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Alewine was predeceased by her first husband, J. States Morgan, a son, J. Steve Morgan, one brother, Hilliard Pearson Ramsey, Jr., and two sisters, Dorothy Cox and Lillian Hawkins.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday at Highland Baptist Church, 3270 Highway 414, Taylors, SC 29687, conducted by Rev. Martin Atkins, Rev. Mickey Thomas and Rev. Malcolm Lance.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held 1:00-2:45 p.m. Friday at Highland Baptist Church.
