Thomas Oneal Wood, Sr., 85, of 2771 Highway 417, died August 26, 2014 at his home.

A native of Woodruff, son of the late Fitzhugh and Linda Phillips Wood, he was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired truck driver for Springs Industries, a member of Bellview Baptist Church, and a member of the Crescent Masonic Lodge #245.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Louise Godfrey Wood of the home; a son, Tommy Wood of Woodruff; a daughter and son-in-law, Dora and Wayne Evans of Taylors; four grandchildren, April Perry, Lee Peace, Andrew Snow and Tyler Wood; and five great-grandchildren, Cohen Perry, Caden Perry, Carson Peace, Jesse Brooks and Hunter Peace.
Mr. Wood was predeceased by a brother, Cecil Wood.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Bellview Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Dennis Lynn, Dr. David Boyter and Rev. Ray Mims.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.

The family is at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 901 Bellview Road, Woodruff, SC 29388.
