Mary Peggy Hawkins Lawson, 78, widow of Frank A. Lawson, passed away August 2, 2018 at the home of her daughter.

A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Lillie Bright Smith and Loyd Black, she was a retired employee of J.P. Stevens and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving:

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Eddie Turner of Wellford; two sons, Arthur Lawson and Darrin Lawson both of Duncan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Diane Hawkins of Enoree and Stanley and Cynthia Black of Greer; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by one son, David Anthony "Tony" Lawson; two daughters, Peggy Darlene Lawson and Sharon Ann Lawson; two sisters, Pauline Leonard and Patricia Griffin; and one brother, Stuart Black.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 6, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Tim Huckaby.

Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Honorary escort will be Agape Hospice.

Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home of the daughter, Sandra Turner, 155 Powell Drive, Wellford, SC.
