Raymond Verner Wooten, 93, of 511 Poplar Drive, widower of Frances Crawford Wooten, died March 26, 2014 at his home.

A native of Habersham County, GA., son of the late Walter and Lydia Smith Wooten, he was a retired employee of Commission of Public Works, a U.S. WWII Army Veteran and of the Baptist faith.

Surviving:

Surviving are three daughters, Nancy Smith of Taylors, Ruth Smith (Frank) of Landrum and Barbara Cody of Greer; one son Ray Wooten (Sandra) of Taylors; one brother, Ted Wooten of Altus, OK; four sisters, Ruby McClain of Clarksville, GA, Ruth Davis of Greer, Hazel Poole and Jean Bennett both of Clarksville, Ga.; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Mr. Wooten was predeceased by two sisters.

Funeral Services:

Special thanks to caregivers, Rhonda Ross and Chiquita Hernandez.

Cryptside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Graceland East Mausoleum Chapel conducted by Rev. Jamie Carson.

Entombment will follow.

Visitation will be held 12:00-1:30 p.m. Saturday at Wood Mortuary.
