Robert "Bob" Page Somers, 83, widower of Angeline (Ms. Angie) Newell Somers peacefully passed away December 28, 2017.

Bob grew up in Culpeper, VA, surrounded by a loving family where he discovered his love for flying.

After serving in the Army Bob settled down in Greer, SC where he married the love of his life, raised his 2 children and enjoyed a 40-year career flying for Steven?s Aviation.

Bob was an avid tennis player, always looking for a match either for fun or as the captain of a team. He would spend his mornings at the tennis courts followed by a workout at SSI and then enjoy a meal with his friends.

Bob was completely dedicated to his family, friends and faith.

He had a great love for his "fly boys", tennis buddies, church friends, grandkids and life overall.

Bob touched many lives through his charming ways, kind smile and love for all. He will be greatly missed.

Surviving:

Surviving are a daughter, Paige Osbon (Tim) of Charleston; a son, Steven Somers (Amanda) of Greer and two grandchildren, Keillor Osbon and Emerson Osbon.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Larry Mason.

Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held 10:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary.
