Marjorie Ruth Scales Dobson, 91, formerly of Lyman, widow of Malcolm James Dobson, died October 11, 2013 at Skylyn Place.

A native of Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel J. and Macie Couch Scales, former owner and operator of Dobson Jewelry Store, and a member of Lyman First Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis D. and Patrick Brockman of Reidville; four grandchildren, Jimmy and Marie Hubbard and Allan and Brian Brockman and four great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Hubbard and three sisters, Catherine Moss, Fairy Bishop and Grace Mills.

Funeral Services:

A graveside service will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Wood Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Matt Yon.

Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery.

The family is at the home of daughter, 7715 Reidville Road, Woodruff, SC.

The family would like to thank the staff at Rosecrest, Skylyn Place and Lutheran Hospice for caring for Mrs. Dobson.
