Sammy Lee DeYoung, 63, passed away March 6, 2018.

A native of Greenville, son of Betty J. Jahn of Greer and the late Carl Berry DeYoung, he was a U.S. Army Veteran, a retired employee of Greer Commission of Public Works and a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Also surviving are a daughter, Kayla Rachelle DeYoung of Taylors; a son, Samuel Bryant DeYoung of Travelers Rest; a sister, Karen DeYoung Lockey (Throop) of Greer; and two grandchildren, Brooklyn Elizabeth Bridges and Brylie Mae Ridings; and two nephews, Todd Foster (Michelle) and Dylan Foster.

He was predeceased by his step-father, Robert E. Jahn and his grandmother, Dessie Virginia Lee.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Ken Vickery.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at their respective homes.
