Sara Louise Green Davis of Greer S.C., age 95, widow of Homer E. Davis Sr., went home to be with the Lord on August 12, 2016.

Mrs. Davis was a lifelong native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Lindsey and Pauline Green.

She retired from Kemit/Union Carbide in Simpsonville S.C. and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Duncan S.C.

Surviving:

She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn D. Knight of Simpsonville; a son, Marion L. Davis of Greer; daughter-in-law, Becky Davis of Greer; five grandchildren, Kim Kirton of Irmo S.C., Gena Shultz of Easley S.C., Andy Davis of Greer S.C., Al Knight of Simpsonville S.C., and Jason Knight of Mauldin S.C.; seven great-grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; and three brothers and their wives, Wendell (Jo), Virgil (Billie) and Ray (Joey) Green all of Greer S.C.

She was predeceased by one son, Gene Davis, one grandson, Todd Davis, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Services:

Funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2016 at The Wood Mortuary in Greer S.C., conducted by Rev. Reuben Shepherd and Rev. James Bertolini.

Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Al Knight, Jason Knight, Andy Davis, Phil Davis, Jamison Shultz and Daryl Green.

The family will receive friends 2:45-3:45 p.m. Monday at The Wood Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, P.O. Box 466, Duncan, S.C. 29334.
