Shirley Ann McIntyre Tolson, previously of North Canton, Ohio passed away February 19, 2014.

She had resided in Greenville, South Carolina for the past twenty-four years. She was the daughter of the late Paul Benjamin McIntyre, deceased in 1960 and the late Blanche McIntyre Maurer, deceased in 2007.

Shirley was an accomplished pianist, having given two solo piano recitals and had been pianist and organist in a number of churches in her lifetime. She also played the violin.

Shirley was employed at Haynesworth Baldwin Johnson and Greaves Law Firm in the Administrative Accounting Department for eleven years. She had also been employed by Bob Jones University and by Comfort Keepers.

Surviving:

She is survived by her daughter, Renee Foster, her husband, Jim and their daughter, Becca ? "Gamma?s Sweetie Pie" whom she adored. Her son, Randy Tolson passed away in 2002.

Also surviving are her sister, Gloria Hacker and her husband, Robert of Greer, South Carolina, a brother, Fred McIntyre of Canton, Ohio, a niece, nephew and several cousins.

Her aunt, Grace Shull passed away in 2008. Shirley also leaves lifelong friends, Mrs. Ann Kandrick Riffle and Nancy Ehlers of Ohio.

Funeral Services:

Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary.

She loved flowers but if a contribution is wished, she would prefer The Gideons International, to spread the Word.
