Steven Dewayne Jones, 73, passed away January 1, 2022.

A native of Greer, son of the late John Roy and Evelyn Alice Quinn Jones, he was a retired employee of Greenville Machinery, of the Baptist faith and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Peggy LaDon Deshields Jones of the home; two daughters, Latasha Pruitt (Aaron) of Inman and Ladonna Manis (Scott) of Spartanburg; one stepdaughter, Tanga Moody (Tim) of Greer; one stepson, Craig Allen (Sherry) of Lyman; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was also predeceased by one sister, Linda Jones.

Funeral Services:

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Wood Memorial Park.

The body will lie in state Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at The Wood Mortuary from Noon until 7:30 p.m.

The family will receive friends Wednesday after the service at the graveside.

The family is at the home.
