Susan Henderson Hilliard, 63, went home to be with her Savior on June 5, 2017.

A native of Greenville County she was the daughter of the late William Lee and Doris Taylor Henderson. Susan was a devoted wife and "Mimi" and an active member of Grace Church.

She graduated from Furman University with MA degree in Special Education, which allowed her to teach students with special needs for thirty years.

Susan loved her pets, gardening and traveling with Alan.

Surviving:

Surviving are her devoted husband, Alan Hilliard of the home; two children, Betsay Painter (Dusty) of Charleston; Ben Duke (Amanda) of Taylors; two grandchildren, William Duke and Ruby Susana Painter; three step-children, Ashley Galloway, Jennifer Hilliard and Brian Hilliard all of Greenville; eight step-grandchildren and one brother, Lee Henderson (Donna) of Seattle, Washington.

The family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m. in the Student Center.

Funeral Services:

A celebration service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Grace Church Student Center, 2801 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615 conducted by Elder Mike Chibbaro.

The families are at their respective homes.
