Syble Irene Smith Bishop, 92, died July 21, 2014 at Magnolia Place.

A native of Anderson County, daughter of the late William Carlos and Sudie Viola Kilgore Smith, she was a retired employee of Union Carbide and a member of Welcome Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are one daughter, Judy Center (Gary) of Taylors; two grandchildren, Alicia Pittman (Michael) and Jonathan Bishop (Amanda); seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bishop was predeceased by a son, David Alvin Bishop, two brothers; three sisters and a grandson Robert Center.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Michael Pittman and Rev. Keith Mincey.

Burial will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday at Wood Mortuary.

The families are at their respective homes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Double Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 3800 Locust Hill Road, Taylors, S.C. 29687.
