Theron C. Farmer Jr., 77, of Greenville, S.C., died on March 14, 2018.
He is the son of the late Odessa Griffin and Theron Clyde Farmer Sr., and is preceded in death by a sister Geraldine Guilliard Jones.
He is the father of two sons, Derek and Christopher, from his marriage to Patricia Peele Farmer.
Theron pastored five churches and worked at Potomac Electric Power Company in Washington, D.C. He had the honor of working with Congresswoman Elizabeth Patterson.
Never one to sit still, he worked part time at FENCE during retirement.
His surviving sisters are Billie Grant of Walhalla, S.C., and Margie Aughtry of Gaffney, S.C. He is fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.
n lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the March of Dimes-Greenville, 37 Villa Road, Greenville, SC 29615. Theron retired as Director of Event Planning there and had high regards for his co-workers and supporters of that organization.
The family would also like to thank Chunn?s Cove Assisted Living, Asheville, who took great care of him over the last two years.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary, Greer, S.C., conducted by Father Stephen M. Bolle.
Visitation will be held 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at The Wood Mortuary, Greer, S.C.
