Thomas Earl Wood, 78, died September 23, 2015 at his home.

A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Melvin Wyatt and Clara Lister Wood, he was a former employee of Daniel Construction and Suitt Construction and a member of Lee Road United Methodist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Maxie Eileen DeShields Wood of the home; two sons, Thomas Michael Wood of Duncan and Steven P. Wood (Tammy) of Duncan; two grandchildren, Nicole McWhorter and Stephanie Burnett and two great-grandchildren, Emmalyn McWhorter and Kate McWhorter.

Mr. Wood was predeceased by one son, Randy Earl Wood.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday at Lee Road United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Douglas Gilliland and Rev. David Surratt.

Burial will follow in Woods Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery.

Visitation will be held 1:30-2:45 p.m. Friday at Lee Road United Methodist Church.

The family is at the home.
