Virginia Hutchins Carson, 87, of 228 Beckon Ridge Road, widow of James Marvin Carson, died August 13, 2012 at Ashlan Village.
A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late Martha Brown Hutchins, she was a registered nurse for 40 years and worked for Dr. Daniel L. Allen for 37 years and attended New Covenant Church, Greer.
Mrs. Carson had a passion for raising goats and cattle.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews and her pet Yorkie, Baby.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Wood Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Keith Hannon and Rev. Joel Rainey.
Visitation will be held after the service at the cemetery.
The families are at their respective homes.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one?s choice.
