Wade Howell Turpin, 94, passed away November 12, 2018

A native of Whittier, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Homer and Birdie Hampton Turpin, and the husband of the late LaVerne Justus Turpin.

He served in the United States Navy in World War II. He was of the Christian faith.

Surviving:

Surviving are his two sons, Ronald Turpin (Shari) of Jackson, Wyoming and Garry Turpin (Bonnie) of Moore; one adopted son, Dennie Marchbanks (Patricia) of Greer; three daughters, Tammy Wilson (David) of Alpine, Wyoming, Jan Morrison (Dan) of Moore and Kimberly Humphrey (Richard) of Greer; twelve grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Turpin was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at their respective homes.
