Wallace R. Sumner, 76, went to his heavenly home on September 18, 2020.

A native of Greer, son of the late Edgar Hansel Sumner and Ollie Edwards
Sumner, he was a retired Welder/fabricator at Kusters in Spartanburg, a past
member of Victorian Hills Independent Methodist Church and was a member of
the Masonic Lodge of Duncan and Hejaz Shriner/past Captain of Wheelchair unit.

He loved gardening, working outdoors, fixing lawn mowers, restoring old cars and helping others.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife Virginia (Jennie) Chambers Sumner of the home, two sons Ray Sumner (Kay) of Lyman and Mark Sumner (Allyson) of Inman; five
grandchildren Leigha Caulder, Blake Sumner, Danielle Noah and Joshua Sumner and three great-grandchildren Auston, Maness and Jaxon Sumner.

Wallace Sumner was predeceased by two sisters Frankie Shuford, Betty Wood and one brother Ansel Sumner.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Praise Cathedral 3390 Brushy Creek Road Greer SC 29650 conducted by Pastor Tommy Harvey.

The family respectfully request that social distancing guidelines be observed and masks worn in accordance with the CDC guidelines. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at the church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children Hospital, 950
West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29650.
