Walter Earl Anthony, Sr., 85, of 402 Brook Glenn Road, died May 13, 2015 at his home.

A native of Tupelo, Mississippi, son of the late Walter Paul and Gracia Chamblee Anthony, he was a U.S. Air Force Veteran having served in the Korean War, a retired engineer for J.E. Sirrine and Fluor Daniel and a member of Taylors First Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Delia Davis Anthony of the home; a son, Walter E. Anthony, Jr. of Travelers Rest; two daughters, Jenny Watson (William) and Janice Smith (Phil) all of Greer; two brothers, Dalton Anthony of Starkville, Mississippi and David Anthony of Tupelo, Mississippi; two sisters, Halovee Parker of Jackson, Tennessee and Dot Brooks of Greenville, Mississippi; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Anthony was predeceased by one brother, Jimmy Anthony.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. Jimmie Harley.

Grandsons and sons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary escort will be the Senior Fellowship Life Group of Taylors First Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in Taylors First Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites.

Visitation will be held 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at The Wood Mortuary.
