Harvey Whelchel Hollifield, 95, widower of Louise DeShields Hollifield, passed away on June 26, 2017 at his home.

A native of Greer, SC, son of the late Harvey Greenberry and Flora Culbertson Hollifield, he was a self-employed mechanic, a US Army Air Corps WWII Veteran and a member of Double Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are one daughter, Nancy Austin, (Joe) of Pelzer; three sons, Larry Hollifield of Albuquerque, NM, Gregg Hollifield (Kathy) and Tony Hollifield all of Taylors; one brother, Jack Hollifield; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2017 at Double Springs Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Keith Mincey.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Honorary escort will be The Dependable Sunday School class.

Visitation will be held 10:00-11:15 a.m. Friday in church sanctuary.

The family is at the home.
