Willard Bryson "Woody" Wood, 90, of the Bayberry Retirement Inn, widow of Callie Walls Wood, passed away on January 24, 2014.

A native of Spartanburg County, he was a son of the late Bryson Ezell and Viola Elizabeth Smith Wood, a retired manager of Rockland Industries in Bamberg, also retired from Southern Bleachery in Taylors, SC, Potomac Dye & Print in Hagerstown, MD, and was a US Navy veteran of WWII. He completed high school after his discharge and began a career in Textiles until his retirement in 1990.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, "Proud Papa" and a deacon and faithful member of Northside Baptist Church in Orangeburg, SC.

Surviving:

Surviving are his children, Beth Smoak (Allen) of Greer; James B. "Jim" Wood (June) of Campobello; five grandchildren, Joseph "Joey" Wood (Angela), Pam Wood Page (Keith), Jonathan Smoak (Julie), Rev. Benjamin Smoak (Amanda), and Joshua Smoak (Rene?) and great-grandchildren, Kenneth Ramey, Bryson and Christian Wood, Autumn, Samuel and Alyssa Page, Kyle, Maggie and Eden, Andrew, and Kaylee Smoak; one sister, Ida Roddy of Lake City; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a great-grandson, Andrew Page, two brothers, and seven sisters.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Washington Baptist Church, Greer, conducted by Rev. Benjamin Smoak and Rev. Joe Price. Entombment will be private.

Visitation will be held from 2 until 2:45 p.m. Sunday at the church prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Joey Wood, Kenneth Ramey, Bryson Wood, Samuel Page, Christian Wood, Jonathan Smoak and Joshua Smoak.
