William A. "Billy" Wood, 51, passed away Nov. 19, 2018 at Greer Memorial Hospital.
A native of Greer, he was the son of Martha McMahan Wood of Campobello and the late Benjamin "Benny" Preston Wood and attended the Patrick Center of Greenville. He was a wonderful person even with his disabilities. He never met a stranger.
Gladly he did not have to suffer as he had cancer. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Surviving:
He is also survived by his wonderful sister whom he adored and she did him, Tonya Colley of Campobello.
Billy was a grandson of the late G.A. and Kathleen McMahan and the late Othel Wood and Mildred Wood Lynn.
Funeral Services:
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Keith Kelly. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home of Martha Wood, 221 Cannon Ball Run, Campobello.
A special thanks to the Wofford House and those who took care of Billy for the last ten or so years and anyone else that took care and saw after him. He is now walking the streets of gold!
