Paget, former owner of Chevrolet dealership, dies
James Suddath Paget, Jr., former owner of Paget Chevrolet, died Tuesday.

Paget served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and 32 years in the Naval Reserves, retiring with the rank of Captain. He was a life member of the Greer Lions Club.

Paget was a board member of Greer Community Ministries and the Greenville and Greer Housing Authority.

Paget’s father, James “Sud” Paget, Sr., is whom the Chamber of Commerce named its volunteer of the year award.

Paget Jr., and his father produced a biography of their life story, with the elder writing, in diary form, about his life and then the son contributing the final chapters. The book includes the original story on when the Greer Chamber of Commerce was formed.
