Parks and Rec, Riverside High team up in soccer

The Greer City Parks and Recreation department announced today its Foothills Soccer Club of Greer (FSCG) will partner with the Riverside High School soccer program for a clinic and tickets to a match.

 The Riverside soccer players will conduct a mini clinic on Monday for the micro (youngest age groups) participants. Free tickets to Riverside's March 19 varsity and jayvee matches vs. Hillcrest will be distributed to the FSCG members who participate in the clinic.

GreerToday.com reported Tuesday Greer High School's partnership with Parks & Recreation. Greer's football coaches will conduct a series of football clinics for the youth league football players and coaches. The youth league teams will wear gold and black uniforms to brand it with Greer High's colors.

"We appreciate all of the help that our local high schools are putting into our programs.  We have great coaches wanting to make a difference in our community," P&R Athletics Supervisor Cory Holtzclaw said.

Greer's youth league Baseball Opening Day is scheduled April 14 at Century Park.
