Patricia (Pat) Wellmon’s motto was “Take it to the Lord” and she lived it, family and friends said.
Pat, it was widely known to her friends and community, loved her church, family and friends. She was known as their prayer warrior.
Pat died Friday. She was 82.
Those who knew Pat were from a wide circle. The daughter of the late Rev. Hoyle B. Alexander in Shelby, N.C., she moved to Greer in 1970 and became a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Pat was a long-time real estate agent and a broker-in-charge with C. Dan Joyner. Upon retirement in real estate she became one of two customer service attendants at Greer State Bank.
