Perry Williams can add Havana, Cuba as another chapter to his worldly travels and award-winning photography portfolio.
Williams, President and CEO of an international textile consulting firm, is in Havana this week to conduct research on the textile industry and as a sideline documenting Cuba’s lifestyle. He is also Greer CPW Chairman of the Board of Commissioners.
The United States lifted sanctions for Americans traveling to Cuba last August with restrictions limited to educational, humanitarian or religious reasons.
Williams has photographed some scenes in Cuba, most notably its vintage vehicles used in daily transportation and architecture. Williams has shared photos with GreerToday to illustrate his visit.
“Life is good in Havana. If I get lost, look for me in Cuba,” Williams texted.
Williams has photographed some of Greer’s most historic landmarks and people in the community since taking up photography as a student at Greer High School. His photography is an art with techniques in color and black and white.
