Riverside Middle School hosted its quarterly Coffee with the Counselors with speaker Dr. Harry Shucker, former vice president of Student Services at Furman University.
Shucker spoke to parents about the effects of technology and the pressure to raise "super kids" and the effect it has on a student's mental and emotional health.
His talk spurred discussion among parents about how to appropriately incorporate technology in everyday lives.
