Previously reported missing person, Joseph Christopher Taylor has been safely located.
After seeing the news reports this morning, a good Samaritan observed a man, later confirmed as Mr. Taylor, walking long Hwy 290 and Rutherford Road. The citizen called authorities and then stood by with Taylor until deputies arrived on scene. The Sheriff’s Office is extremely grateful for the media’s coverage on this situation and for the Samaritan’s actions in allowing us to reunite Taylor with his family.

Saturday, Nov. 3
Deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s assistance with information pertaining to the whereabouts of a missing 72 year-old man.
Deputies and bloodhound handlers are searching for Joseph Taylor, who was last seen Saturday night, around 10 o’clock, at 60 Roper Mountain Road.
Taylor suffers from Alzheimer’s and is described as 5-foot-10, 140 pounds, wearing a blue flannel long-sleeve shirt with green pants and grey Nike shoes.
Deputies request that if anyone comes in contact with Taylor to call 911 immediately and stay with him until law enforcement officials arrive on scene.
