Restaurants say thank you on Veterans Day

 

• Area Veterans Day celebrations

Restaurants are thanking military veterans and members of the U.S. Armed Forces with free food, drink and deals on Veterans Day 2015.

The list below is for the greater Greer area and their families and friends across the United States. Unless stated, offers are valid for Nov. 11 only. Bring ID with proof of service status as a former or current member of the military.

The list is in alphabetical order. Drink and gratuity may not be included. Please call ahead with questions.

All veterans and their families admitted free on Nov. 11.

Restaurants

Applebee’s Free Thank You Meal menu from open to close.  Choose from: 7 oz. House Sirloin, Double Crunch Shrimp, Three-Cheese Chicken Penne, American Standard All-In Burger, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Chicken Tenders Platter, or Oriental Chicken Salad. Drink and gratuity not included.

Bar Louie: Free meal up to a $12 value.

Biscuitville: Free biscuit of choice.

BJ’s: Free entrée under $12.95 value.

Bob Evans: Hotcakes, brioche French toast, and the country biscuit breakfast among options available to veterans and active-duty military in a special free menu.

Bonanza Steakhouse: Free buffet from 4 p.m. – close.  Beverage not included.

Bonefish Grill: Free order of Bang Bang Shrimp.

Buffalo Wild Wings: One free small order of traditional or boneless wings and a side of fries. 4-7 p.m.

Burgerfi: Complimentary small (6 oz.) sundae. Customers can opt for Vanilla, Chocolate, or Swirl topped with whipped cream and a cherry.

California Pizza Kitchen: free menu includes pizza, salad and pasta.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill: Free appetizer through Nov. 15.

Cheeseburger in Paradise: All American Burger with fries is free.

Chicken Salad Chick: Free Original Chick, which includes one sandwich, one side, a pickle and a cookie.

Chili’s: Free meal from among Oldtimer with Cheese, any lunch combo, soup and salad, grilled chicken salad, Chipotle or margarita chicken fresh Mex bowl, grilled chicken burrito or southwest pairings pick 2.

Country Buffet: Free lunch buffet from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Cracker Barrel: Free dessert is Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake.

Denny’s: Build Your Own Grand Slam meal, with possibilities including pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruit, and hash browns, from 5 a.m. to noon.

Don Pablo’s: Free appetizer. Some restrictions.

FATZ Café: Complimentary World Famous Calabash Chicken meal.

Fazoli’s: Create your own individualized pasta bowl.

Figaro’s Pizza: Free medium 1 topping.

Fire Mountain: Free lunch buffet from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Friendly’s: Free Big-Two-Do combo meal for breakfast, or free All American Burger with fries and a drink for lunch or dinner, at participating restaurants.

Golden Corral: Free special sit-down dinner for anyone who has served in the U.S. military.

HomeTown Buffet: Free lunch buffet from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Hooters: Free choice of one; Hooters Burger, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Buffalo Chicken Salad, 10-piece traditional or boneless wings.

IHOP: One order apiece of Red, White & Blue Pancakes, which come with glazed strawberries (red), blueberry compote (blue), and whipped cream (white.) 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

IKEA: Today through Wednesday, free entrée (value up to $9.99) in an IKEA cafeteria.

K&W Cafeterias: Free entrée 4 p.m. – close.

Krispy Kreme: Free doughnut and small coffee.

Krystal: Free breakfast chicken or sausage biscuit, is on the table for vets and active military from 6 - 11 a.m. After 11 a.m. all customers get pups or corn pups for 50 cents apiece, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Armed Services YMCA organization.

Little Caesars: Free, $5 Hot-N-Ready lunch combo, including four pizza slices and a 20-ounce beverage, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at participating locations.

Longhorn Steakhouse: free Texas Tonion and a free non-alcoholic beverage.

Max & Erma’s: Free Best Cheeseburger in America Combo includes choice of a cup of soup or side salad, a 6 oz. cheeseburger with endless fries and a fresh-baked cookie.

Old Country Buffet: Free lunch buffet from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

On the Border: Free “Create Your Own Combo” featuring selection of tacos, salads, enchiladas, and more (up to $10.79 value).

Olive Garden: Free entrée such as chicken parmigiana, lasagna, or cheese ravioli, with unlimited soup or salad and breadsticks. Family members joining a veteran or active military member at the table get 10 percent off.

Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt: Free 11-ounce frozen yogurt.

Outback Steakhouse: Free Blooming Onion appetizer and free beverages. Families get 15 percent off the bill anytime from Nov. 12 to Dec. 31.

PDQ: Free 3 tenders or chicken sandwich.

Pie Five: offering free pizza

Ponderosa Steakhouse: Free meals from 4 p.m. until closing.

Red Lobster: Through Nov. 12, complimentary appetizer or dessert.

Red Robin: Free Red’s Tavern Double burger and bottomless steak fries.

Ruby Tuesday: Free appetizer.

Ryan’s: Free lunch buffet from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Sheetz: Free six-inch turkey sub and regular-size fountain drink at convenience stores, all veterans and current service members are welcomed to a free car wash at participating locations.

Shoney’s: Free All-American Burger all day.

Sizzler: Free lunch — entrée and a beverage — at participating locations until 4 p.m.

Twin Peaks: Choice of a free Philly cheese steak or crispy chicken tender basket.

Smokey Bones: Free meal options include ½-pound burger, pulled pork platter, chicken fingers, tomato basil cavatappi, nutty chicken salad.

Starbucks: Complimentary coffee.

Sticky Fingers: Free entrée up to a $12.99 value. Dine-in vets also offered $10 coupon on next visit.

Texas Roadhouse: Free meal includes these options, 6 oz. sirloin steak, country fried chicken, pulled pork dinner, single grilled pork chop (all with two sides), All-American cheeseburger, BBQ chicken sandwich, pulled pork sandwich (all with fries), grilled chicken salad. With choice of Coca-Cola or other beverage.

Tijuana Flats: Serving free entrees.

Wayback Burgers: Free Wayback Classic Cheeseburger (or a Crispy Chicken Sriracha Sandwich at a couple of locations).

White Castle: Free breakfast slider and a small coffee or other drink.

Wienerschnitzel: Free chili dog and a small Pepsi beverage.

World of Beer: A free draught beer.
