Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) presented its annual Pollution Prevention (P2) award for 2014 to Mitsubishi Polyester Film, Inc. for its innovative pollution prevention initiatives.

“Mitsubishi Polyester Film is an abiding partner with ReWa in promoting a cleaner environment as evidenced in their excellent pretreatment compliance record. The achievement of earning the 2014 Renewable Water Resources Pollution Prevention Award is further demonstration of their continuous dedication to exemplary environmental stewardship,” said Joel Jones, Pretreatment Program Manager.

The program was created to encourage the abatement of pollution through preventative measures. Many industries on the ReWa system have pursued innovative ways of preventing pollution through waste minimization, water conservation, recycling, product reformulation and toxic materials substitution.

Winners of the award are selected by a committee comprised of representatives from the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce and ReWa.
