Riveride's Myles scores 24 points in win over Boiling Springs

Myles Smith scored a team-high 24 points to lead Riverside to its first region victory in its final game of 2013 Friday night.

Riverside finished its 2013 part of the schedule 5-1 overall and 1-1 in Region II-4A. Boiling Springs is 1-6 and 0-2.

The Warriors threw away their 9-point halftime lead, 35-26, when Boiling Springs outscored Riverside in the third quarter, 19-10 to tie the game. Riverside outscored the Bulldogs by 19 points in a free-scoring final period.

Caleb Carrithers added 14 points for Riverside.

The Warriors taken an 18-day break for the holidays and will play its next game Jan. 7 at Wade Hampton High School.
