Riverside won its first game in more than a year Friday night.

The Warriors, who were unbeaten in four preseason scrimmages, beat Travelers Rest, 7-3, at the Reservation,

Sophomore quarterback Andrew Brown threw a 47-yard scoring pass to senior wide receiver Kris White for Riverside’s touchdown.

Brown passed for 108 yards on 11 completions and added 46 yards rushing on nine carries.

Travelers Rest could only manage a 24-yard field goal by freshman Wilson Hendrix.

The last time Riverside won a game, 13-games ago, was Oct. 31 in 2014 when it beat Wade Hampton, 17-0.

Riverside plays at Eastside next Friday.
