More than 70 Riverside Middle School students qualified as a South Carolina Junior Scholar. Students scored 50 or higher on the PSAT in verbal, math or writing to qualify.

Kevin Styles, RMS Teacher of the Year 2014-2015, directed the school band’s Winter Concert on Dec. 9.

The school’s basketball season resumes with two home games when students return in 2014. Girls games are 5:30 p.m. and girls games are 6:45 p.m.

Anne Frank, A History for Today, the traveling exhibit from the Anne Frank museum will be at Riverside Middle School Feb. 18 – March 28.   The exhibit will be open to schools for field trips March 11 – 28 and the public March 15-27 during select hours.

RMS is promoting the 2014 International Aviation Art Contest.  The theme is “Flying Saves Lives.” Deadline to enter is Jan. 10. Call Brooke Howard at 864-355-7987 or email here.
