Riverside Middle has successful performances at Concert Festival

iMove 5K Run/Walk registration deadline is Saturday

The Riverside Middle School's Running Club was started this year to help students train for the run/walk.  Students meet twice a week to train with track coaches, Audrey Cook and Jamie Luff.

The Riverside Middle School's Running Club was started this year to help students train for the run/walk.  Students meet twice a week to train with track coaches, Audrey Cook and Jamie Luff. 

Riverside Middle School took four groups to participate in Concert Festival at North Greenville University last weekend. Groups from throughout the state participated.

RMS groups and ratings:

6th grade, excellent

7th grade, superior

8th grade, superior

7th-8th grade, Symphony string and band, superior

Ginger Greer is the strings teacher, and Kevin Styles the band instructor.

• The 3rd Annual iMove 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, April 13 at 8 a.m. with proceeds benefiting the Harvest Hope Food Bank (canned goods) and RMS. The registration deadline is Saturday to be guaranteed a free T-shirt. 

Registration is $15 per person, $10 for children 10 and under.

The schedule:

8 - 8:30 a.m. Participant check-in.

8:30 a.m. - Zumba warmup

9 a.m. - Run/Walk begins
