Riverside Middle School news and announcements

• RMS Open House is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m. A PTSA meeting will follow and then parents will visit students’ classrooms.
• RMS Volleyball Team will play against Woodmont on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 5:30 p.m. at Woodmont Middle School.  
• RMS Volleyball Team will play against Blue Ridge on Monday, Sept. 16 at 5:30 p.m. at Riverside Middle School
• RMS is promoting the 2013-2014 National Career Development Association’s 48th Annual Poetry and Poster Contest. The theme is "Charting the Course for Our Second Century." • RMS is promoting the 2014 International Aviation Art Contest. The theme is "Flying Saves Lives."  RMS deadline to enter is Friday, Jan. 10. • RMS is seeking parents and people in the community who may be interested in coming to speak to students about their career to expose students to a variety of career opportunities and/or would like to host a student for a job shadowing experience for a day. • PTA is kicking off Reflections contest this year with Explore the Arts! The theme is "Believe, Dream, Inspire" and the Art Categories include: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography and Visual Arts.
