Riverside Middle School students Janusz Schenk, Noah Leonard, Zach Clawson, Alex Wesolowski and Devin Terpenning were picked along with 29 other  Greenville County Schools middle and high school students to participate in Discovery Flight, a program that includes 45 minutes of ground instruction and a 45-minute flight. 

The program targets students who are interested in a career in aviation and would like to find out more about the requirements. This learning opportunity is sponsored by The Greenville Downtown Airport and Airwolf Aviation Services. 

Poster and Poetry Contest winners

The following students are Greenville County District winners in the National Career Development Association’s Poster and Poetry Contest: Brianna Niskanen, 1st place Poster C1 Division; Cassie Haynes, 2nd pace Poster C1 Division; Adithi Jeevan, 1st place Poetry Division.

RMS basketball schedule

The next RMS basketball games are RMS vs Northwood Middle on Monday, Jan. 27 at Riverside Middle School and RMS vs Greer Middle on Thursday, Jan. 30  at Greer Middle School. 

Riverside Girls play at 5:30 p.m. followed by the Riverside Boys at 6:45 p.m.  

Coffee with Counselors

The RMS Guidance Department is hosting a Coffee with the Counselors event, "A Parent’s Guide to Internet Safety" on Feb. 5 from 8:45-9:45 a.m. in the Media Center.

Eighth Grade Individual Graduation Plan Conferences continue

Eighth Grade Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) Conferences continue through through Feb. 14. Students were sent home with a bright orange letter on Jan. 6, that gave parents’ the appointment date and time for their child’s conference at the bottom of the letter.  For more information, visit the Guidance Department’s website or contact Brooke Howard at 355-7987 or [email protected]

Anne Frank traveling exhibit

Anne Frank, A History for Today, the traveling exhibit from the Anne Frank museum will be at Riverside Middle School Feb. 18 through March 28.  The exhibit will be open to schools for field trips March 11-28 and to the public March 15-27 during select hours.
