Riverside plays Tuesday in state lacrosse playoffs

The Riverside girls lacrosse team is seeded No. 6 in the state playoffs and will play at No. 3 seed Nation Ford Tuesday.

The Riverside boys did not make the playoffs.

Riverside’s girls, coached by DeAnn Louis, finished 11-2 overall and 5-2 in the region.

Wins over Boiling Springs, 16-7, and Dorman, 18-5, in the final two games secured Riverside’s playoff berth.

Riverside was unbeaten at home (7-0) and lost its only two games (4-2) on the road at Mauldin and J.L. Mann.

The Riverside girls outscored opponents 170-69.

A win by Riverside advances it to a Thursday game versus the winner of No. 2 Greenville vs. No. 7 Greenville at the higher seeded team.
