The RMS Speech and Debate Team won third place in the team sweepstakes competition at the State Championship last Saturday at Woodmont High School.
Other winners were:
• Carol Lee took first place and Gail Holland was sixth in Humorous Interpretation.
• Timothy Harris was fourth in Original Oratory.
• Zack Jordan took fifth in Oral Interpretation.
• Vaibhav Bafna and Aaron Keller won fifth place in Public Forum Debate.
• Liz Schell took fifth place in Impromptu and Carol Lee took sixth.
Others who competed in the invitational were Maraya Bidjerano, Ashleigh Ewens, Andrew Hall, Sangram Kadam, Yasmin Meyer, Tiger Mou, Ceylin Ucok, Katherine Woo, and Javier Zarazua.
