Students in the 7th-grade math classes of Mrs. Burroughs, Mrs. Lee, Mrs. Parker and Mr. Raymond celebrated "pi" day with a variety of activities. They created a word wall of words that contain the letters "pi," completed a crossword puzzle, made a "pi" skyline, watched a video, conducted "pi" and pie surveys using ActivExpressions, viewed "pi" humor, and, of course, ate a lot of pie.

iMove 5k Run/Walk is May 3

The 4th Annual iMOVE 5K Run/Walk will be May 3. Check-in will be at 8 a.m., pre-race warmup at 8:30 a.m., and the start of the race/walk at 9 a.m.

All proceeds will be donated to "Let There Be Mom" and "Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services."

Baseball games set

The next baseball games of the season will be RMS vs. Greenville on Monday, March 24 at Riverside Middle School and RMS vs. Northwood on Thursday, March 27 at Riverside Middle School. Games begin at 4:30 p.m.

The next soccer game will be RMS vs. Greenville on Monday, March 24 at Riverside Middle School. RMS will play Northwood on Thursday, March 27 at Riverside Middle School. Games begin at 4:30 p.m.

Community Spirit Day

Make plans now to bring the family out to Riverside Middle School on Thursday, March 27 for dinner and some RMS athletics. All four RMS athletic teams will be playing at home against crosstown rival Northwood Middle School.

Vendors from restaurants around the Upstate will be set up and ready to serve. You can enjoy a great community event and skip cooking dinner for a night.

RMS students participating in Reading All-Stars program

Riverside Middle School students are are into the second week of the Greenville Drive Reading All-Stars program. Students have five weeks to read five books and record those books in reading logs. Reading logs are due to the library on Friday, March 28. All students who submit a completed log by the due date will receive a t-shirt, a chance to participate in pre-game and in-game entertainment at Fluor Field, the opportunity to participate in the parade around the outfield, recognition on the DriveVision, and a voucher for a free ticket to the celebration game on Sunday, May 25 at 4 p.m.

Extra reading logs are available in the library and on the library website.

Anne Frank exhibit at RMS through March 28

Anne Frank, A History for Today, the traveling exhibit from the Anne Frank museum will be at Riverside Middle School through March 28. The exhibit will be open to schools for field trips through the 28th and to the public through March 27 during select hours. Visit www.greenville.k12.sc.us/rms/ for more information and times.
