TD Bank official Simon Hong was 'Principal for a Day' at RMS.

Thirteen students from Riverside Middle School were selected along with five alternates for the Upstate Region Orchestra. This is the first step toward All State Orchestra, and auditions for that will begin in January.

Middle school students from Greenville, Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties competed for spots in the orchestra on Oct. 4.

Riverside students participate inInternational  Walk to School Day

Riverside Middle School students participated in International Walk to School Day on Oct. 8. This event promotes healthy living and encourages students to engage in physical activity when possible.

TD Bank official is 'Principal for a Day' at RMS

Simon Hong, Senior Vice President from TD Bank, shadowed Principal Kate Malone as a part of "Principal for a Day."

Local business leaders are shadowing school principals to learn more about day-to-day operations of leading a school.

Hong spoke to two 8th-grade financial literacy classes, attended lunches, and talked with RMS students.
