Rocky Horror Picture Show is moving indoors

Weather won't be a factor with this year's event

Published on Wednesday, October 17, 2012

The Rocky Horror Picture Show returns for its third engagement in four years at the Greer City Park complex – only this year it's moving inside. The Cannon Centre will host the show Friday, Oct. 26 with pre-show entertainment at 9 p.m. and the film at 11.

Adults age 18 and over, the movie is rated R,  will be admitted for one or more cans of non-perishable food to help feed the hungry in the Greer area.

City Park hosted the film at its amphitheater in 2009 and 2010 and rain cancelled last year's event.

The tradition of attendees includes dressing like characters and tossing items such as frankfurters and toast. The film's soundtrack includes memorable songs "The Time Warp," "Sweet Transvestite," and "Planet Schmanet, Janet."

Concessions will be available. Contact Laurie Campbell at 968-7005.
