Saddler is state champ in triple jump to lead Greer in track championships

Saddler is state champ in triple jump to lead Greer in track championships
Greer High School junior Richie Saddler saved one of his best jumps for the right place and time as he won the Class AAAA State triple jump competition Saturday at Spring Valley High School. 

Saddler's leap of 45-feet 5-inches was almost a foot better than the second-place finisher. Saddler also took fourth place in the 400 meter run.

Freshman Coen Roberts finished in third place in the 3200 meter run. Junior Quavian White finished fifth in the 400 hurdles.

The boys team finished in 11th place with 25 points, while the girls team finished 11th with 33 points.

Junior Kaiya Bradford finished in second place in both the high jump and the shot put, and was third in the 100 hurdles. Sophomore Eboni Balsley finished third in the 400 hurdles, sixth in the triple jump and seventh in the long jump.
