Salute to military, music, fireworks at Freedom Blast tonight

A tribute to military veterans and active duty and a concert by Ashland Craft is scheduled for tonight’s Freedom Blast at Greer City Park.

The annual event is 6-10:30 p.m. with fireworks ending the evening.

Craft, from Piedmont, finished in the top 10 of “The Voice” in 2017. She was on Miley Cyrus’ team. She has performed throughout the southeast and her genre is more country-rock.

Activities for children and a display of military vehicles will be at City Park. A skydiving event is scheduled at 6:15.

Vendors will be selling food and beverages.

Today’s schedule

6 p.m.– Opening Ceremonies

6:15 – Team Fastrax Skydiving

6:30 – Military Tribute

7:15 – Rib eating contest

7:30 – Ashland Craft (1st set)

8:35 – James Tucker

9 – Ashland Craft (2nd set)

10  – Fireworks
