Sill gets key to the city, proclamation in homecoming celebration

Sidney Sill, Miss South Carolina Teen 2012, enjoyed a Greer homecoming today at City Hall.

Sill was crowned Miss South Carolina Teen on Sept. 29 by Miss America's Outstanding Teen and Piedmont resident Rachel Wyatt.  Sill represented Greer in the Miss South Carolina Teen pageant last July.

Sill celebrated her new role with family and friends during her official homecoming sponsored by the Miss Greater Greer Scholarship Committee.

Greer Mayor Rick Danner presented Sill a proclamation and key to the City and Joe Baldwin, county councilman, presented a proclamation on behalf of Greenville County Council.

Sill will spend her year traveling throughout the state of South Carolina promoting her platform "If you can believe, you can achieve it - Overcoming Life's Obstacles."

Sill is a junior at J.F. Byrnes High School in Duncan.
