Sill may get a chance to represent the state as Miss Teen

Rachel Wyatt won the 2013 Miss America Outstanding Teen tonight. By winning the national title Wyatt, Miss South Carolina Teen, opens the possibility that first runnerup Sydney Sill, Miss Greater Greer Teen, can opt to represent the state in fulfilling the duties as South Carolina's Teen queen.

Sydney Sill, 2012 Miss Greater Greer Teen, was first runnerup in the Miss South Carolina Teen pageant last month. Sill, according to a local organizer, may be given the opportunity to represent South Carolina in fulfilling the Miss Teen duties in the state.

Rachel Yuki Wyatt, representing South Carolina, was crowned Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2013 tonight in Orlando, Fla. Wyatt, 17, was Miss Greater Mauldin Teen and was selected over runnerup Sydney Sill, Miss Greater Greer Teen in the state pageant last month.

Sill, according to a local organizer, will have the opportunity to decide if she wants to represent South Carolina in Miss Teen’s statewide duties.

Wyatt, from Piedmont, attends Wren High School.
