A Spartanburg man received a 30-year prison sentence Monday after he admitted to shooting a Greer man to death.

Keylan D. McClintock, 21, pleaded guilty to murder for the Sept. 5, 2014 shooting of Donald Travis Harper, 33, of Greer.

Sheriff’s deputies found Harper unconscious about 7:50 p.m. in the front yard of an East Poinsett Street Extension home with multiple gunshot wounds. Harper was rushed to Spartanburg Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Multiple witnesses at the crime scene said the violence grew out of a dispute over a go-cart.

McClintock will serve every day of the prison sentence. He is not eligible for parole or early release.
