Storrie, partner at Ember restaurant, dies

Ryan Storrie, 29, a partner at the Ember Restaurant at 302 Trade Street in Greer died Tuesday morning after a brief illness.

Ember was closed Thursday so employees could attend services for Storrie. The restaurant is scheduled to reopen Thursday at 7 p.m.

Storrie, who worked at Publix stores in the Greenville area, partnered with Tim Kearns to open Ember on Trade Street. The restaurant opened New Year’s Eve.

When Storrie and Kearns were setting their price point for the restaurant they frequented all Greer’s “Restaurant Row” establishments.
